Dimension Four signs customer agreement with Tvillingfabrikken

Dimension Four, a software technology company offering a high-performance, scalable, Internet of Things (IoT) API, today announced that a customer agreement has been signed with the Norwegian software company Tvillingfabrikken.

Skien, Norway and Arendal, Norway – May 25, 2022

Dimension Four, a software technology company offering a high-performance, scalable, Internet of Things (IoT) API, today announced that a customer agreement has been signed with the Norwegian company Tvillingfabrikken. Tvillingfabrikken is a software company developing digital twins of physical products, machines, production processes and supply chains. The Norwegian startup has quickly gained momentum in the market, by offering a powerful combination of AI and IoT with visual 3D simulations, creating virtual and digital reflections of physical objects and processes.

Harnessing the power of AI and IoT with visual 3D simulations for the industry

Tvillingfabrikken, with its strong offering within digital twins, is taking a position within a growing market, which was valued at $ 3.1 billion in 2020 and expected to reach $ 48.2 billion by 2026. Having already gained solid traction in the market, they expect to grow significantly over the coming years, and to secure infrastructure scalability Tvillingfabrikken has chosen to use Dimension Four’s IoT API for their IoT backend. Thus enabling them to strengthen focus on innovating on their digital twin platform, leveraging powerful visual 3D simulations and artificial intelligence. The Dimension Four API will fuel the solution with data to enrich the digital twin by capturing sensory data.

In addition to the benefits we found in Dimension Four`s technology and the great fit to our digital twin platform, partnering with Dimension Four gives the extra dimension in that we are on the same journey solving industrial challenges, based on technology which is complementary, and set to disrupt.

Klaus Espegard,
CEO and Founder at Tvillingfabrikken.

Dimension Four provides us with a highly capable solution for IoT giving us the opportunity to focus on our core business with a confidence of reliable data connectivity.

Even Falkenberg Langås,
R&D Engineer, MsC Mechatronics at Tvillingfabrikken.

The first customer project where Tvillingfabrikken is using the Dimension Four IoT backend is already in the works, with an industrial company operating over 50 plants nationwide. These are mobile plants processing mud generated from construction sites for roads, rails and buildings into clean water for reuse or spill back into nature. The plants are visualized in an application with an animated 3D model connected to sensor data from the plants accessed by Dimension Four`s API and database. Benefits are already appearing to be substantial for the end customers by drastically reducing their need for unplanned and expensive emergency assistance. Through the digital twin the operators can easily perform and register periodical checklist routines, troubleshoot and detect faults themselves.

We are excited to have partnered with Tvillingfabrikken, supporting their growth, and as we are moving forward, innovating together by combining expertise within these emerging technologies. Their digital twin platform has impressed us and I’m sure it will be a great asset to anyone looking for dynamic digital representations of their industrial environment.

Morten Steinvåg,
Chief Commercial Officer at Dimension Four.

It’s really inspiring to work together with the team at Tvillingfabrikken. The way they are utilizing the complex IoT data and making it easy to  understand and use through their dashboard and 3D models is just amazing. This is just the beginning and we are excited to be a part of their journey ahead.

Daniel Warholm,
Product Manager at Dimension Four.

Solving industry challenges, together; even though Industri 4.0 has been evolving rapidly there are still significant challenges due to a lack of standardization and open API’s. That in combination with the fact that most industries have legacy systems and machinery and equipment which is instrumented but still isn’t connected, provides room for massive improvement and gains within multiple areas, for example within predictive maintenance, faster manufacturial turnarounds, and risk assessment. With the agnostic IoT API from Dimension Four these challenges are solvable from a technical point of view as it connects to any sensor and can operate across multiple connectivity carriers, such as NB-IoT and LoRaWAN. Coupled with Tvillingfabrikken’s strategy and operational model for data collection, companies get a complete and powerful solution for creating a digital twin of their physical manufacturing, through an intuitive and user friendly interface.

The agreement also entails that Tvillingfabrikken and Dimensions Four form a strategic alliance in that both parties seek to, together, innovate and craft scalable solutions for the industry. Combining the two companies' expertise within AI, IoT, Big Data and powerful 3D modeling, providing a strong foundation for fueling innovative solutions, solving industry challenges.

About Tvillingfabrikken

Tvillingfabrikken is an early player in the development of digital twins for the industrial and logistics segment. In a market with relatively few players yet, we aim to develop a software platform for operating environments for digital twins. Digital twin technology is expected to revolutionize the way we plan, adapt and control environments for production and logistics, and that is why we also call it  the queen of Industry 4.0.

Digital twins are powerful tools for planning, budgeting and simulations. By combining the technologies in industry 4.0, connecting sensor technology and big data to AI in visual 3D animations, we can help perfect and optimize production and logistics processes in your plant or supply chain with regard to resources, energy consumption, reduced waste and full visibility of all parts of the process.
