Know when your machines are telling you something.
Modern factories generate enormous amounts of data from machines, production systems, sensors, and maintenance processes. The challenge is turning those individual signals into an understanding of how equipment is actually performing.
D4 connects these sources and processes them as part of a continuous workflow. It can identify changes in machine behaviour, add operational context, and surface potential issues before they become costly interruptions.

Machine problems rarely start with a failure.
A machine can gradually change its behaviour long before it stops working. Small changes in temperature, vibration, pressure, energy consumption, cycle time, or output may be early indicators of a developing problem.
The difficulty is that these signals are often distributed across different machines and systems. Production data may live in one system, sensor telemetry in another, and maintenance records somewhere else. Looking at any one signal in isolation can make a developing problem difficult to recognize.
Teams may therefore end up relying on fixed thresholds, manual checks, or scheduled maintenance. These approaches can miss gradual changes and can also result in unnecessary inspections or component replacements.
Connect machine signals with the context around them.
D4 receives telemetry and operational events from connected machines and systems. Incoming data is structured, validated, filtered, and routed into workflows based on the requirements of the use case.
The workflow can combine live machine signals with production information and historical behaviour. For example, a change in vibration may mean something very different when a machine is running at full capacity than when it is idle. Production state, operating conditions, and previous maintenance events can provide the context needed to interpret the signal correctly.
D4 can then apply defined rules, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, or governed AI to identify behaviour that deserves attention.
The resulting insight can be delivered to an operations or maintenance team, integrated into another system, or exposed through an API for a customer specific application.
Machine behaviour, operational context, and history.
- Machine telemetry
Signals such as temperature, vibration, pressure, current, speed, or other equipment measurements. - Production data
Machine state, production cycles, output, operating modes, and other information describing what the equipment is doing. - Maintenance history
Previous inspections, repairs, component replacements, and known issues. - Historical machine behaviour
Previous measurements and events used to establish normal operating patterns. - Environmental data
Temperature, humidity, or other external conditions that may influence machine behaviour. - Operational events
Events from connected systems that help explain changes in machine performance.
Detect change before it becomes downtime.
Instead of waiting for a machine to cross a fixed threshold or fail outright, teams can identify changes in behaviour and investigate them while there is still time to act.
D4 can surface machines that are behaving differently from their normal patterns, provide the context needed to understand why, and prioritize which signals require attention.
The result could be an early warning for a maintenance team, a machine health view for an operations dashboard, or structured data delivered into an existing maintenance system.
Over time, the same foundation can support more equipment, more data sources, and additional workflows without requiring each use case to be built as a separate data pipeline.
